Julie DeMarco, DVM, CVA

Thank you for visiting our website and I look forward to meeting you soon. I was born in Ohio but grew up in many places including California, Colorado, Athens, Greece and Brussels, Belgium. In 1992, I received my BS in Zoology from the University of California at Davis. With this degree I taught educational programs at Sea World of Orlando for one year then went on to become an Animal Care Specialist (zoo keeper) at Sea World. I was so fortunate to be able to care for and interact with dolphins, manatees, killer whales, sea lions, seals, river otters and more!

I earned my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 2002 and worked as an Associate Veterinarian and a Relief Doctor before opening Whole Pet. My acupuncture certification is from the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Chi Institute program is unique in the US in that it trains American veterinarians how to achieve more successful treatments based on Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnoses, instead of only Western diagnoses.
